Grooming

Grooming is available Monday through Friday. Please call us at 614-471-2201 to schedule an appointment for all grooming services including a la carte! Grooming appointments fill up quickly, so please be prepared to schedule in advance.

Grooming Drop-Offs
Drop-off is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the walk-up window on the left side of the hospital. A staff member would be happy to assist you and your pet. If a staff member is not readily available please ring the doorbell for assistance.

We have a structured drop-off system in the morning, which allows our groomers to work according to your pet’s individual needs. We believe in providing a positive grooming experience for your furry friend. Pets are given breaks throughout the bathing, drying, and grooming process to allow for optimum comfortability.

Around midday, one of our veterinarians tends to the grooming department. They conduct examinations, administer vaccines, and handle any health queries raised during drop-off. Our team keeps a watchful eye on the pets during their day at the spa, ensuring their overall well-being and comfort. After the grooming session wraps up for the day, you will be promptly notified.

Matted Coat Policy
Deshedding and heavily matted coats will incur an additional charge ($20-$80) based on breed, size, and coat condition. We will not demat to the point that we feel we are no longer working in the best interest of your pet. If we feel that shaving your pet is the only humane way to remove matts, that is how we will proceed. A shaving fee will apply due to the delicate nature of removing tight, severe matting, ensuring your pet’s utmost comfort. Additionally, an extra handling fee may be incurred if additional staff members are needed to assist with the extended grooming process.
Additional Handling

A supplementary handling fee ($20-$50) will be implemented for pets requiring additional assistance due to medical needs or exhibiting behavioral issues. This fee enables us to assign extra staff to ensure your pet’s comfort and well-being throughout their stay.

Our aim is to provide the best care possible, tailored to your pet’s individual needs.

Vaccination Requirements
We require that your pet has a physical examination during their visit if they are a new patient and vaccinations are due or if they are a current patient and it has been over a year since their last annual examination at the time vaccinations are due.

Dogs must be current on the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Combo and Bordetella (given within the past 6 months).

Cats must be current on the following vaccinations: Rabies and Feline Distemper.

Late Policy
Late arrivals within 15 minutes will be accepted at the groomer’s discretion and will be subject to a $15 late fee. Late arrivals exceeding 15 minutes will be asked to reschedule and will incur a missed appointment fee of $50.
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate the courtesy of an app, email, or phone call cancelation prior to your appointment time if you are unable to keep your scheduled grooming appointment. We reserve the right to charge a grooming fee on the second missed appointment, without adequate notice (24 hours), in a 365-day window. This fee will be reapplied for every subsequent missed appointment per scheduled pet.
