Gahanna Animal Hospital offers a wide variety of appointments, including nights and weekends, to accommodate your schedule. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. If you are a new client or a current client with a new pet, please fax your pet’s records to (614) 471-1907, email them to clients@gahannaanimalhospital.org, or bring them with you to your appointment. If you choose to bring them with you, please arrive 15 minutes early so our Client Care Representatives can transfer your records into our computer system.

Gahanna Animal Hospital also offers “sick” appointments. These appointments are reserved for sick pets that need same day care. They usually fill up quickly, so it is recommended that you call to schedule soon after our phones turn on at 8:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Emergencies
Gahanna Animal Hospital provides Emergency Care during regular office hours for a $50 fee in addition to the standard examination fee. We have a veterinarian available by phone until 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday for phone consultations. After our doctors’ emergency hours, you will be referred to The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center at 614-292-3551 or Medvet at 614-846-5800.
Waiting Room Safety

For the safety of the pets and the staff:

The waiting room is divided into separate dog and cat zones.

  • Dogs must remain on a leash, under the control of their owners, at all times.
  • Please keep the leash short with your dog closely by your side.
  • We strongly recommend using traditional leashes instead of retractable leashes, as they are easier to maneuver and safer for your pet and those surrounding you.
  • If you need a traditional leash, ask a Client Care Representative, and they will provide one for you to use during your visit.
  • Cats and pocket pets must remain in their respective carriers. If you do not have a carrier, please inform a staff member, and they will provide you with a temporary carrier for your visit.
Appointment Policy
Gahanna Animal Hospital staff members treat every patient with the utmost love and respect. We work by appointment and try our very best not to keep you waiting. However, when emergencies occur, your scheduled appointment may be delayed while we provide emergency care to the patient in need. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we hope that you understand that the same level of care would be provided to your pet in an emergency situation.

In an effort to accommodate requests for same day appointments, we appreciate the courtesy of a phone cancellation prior to your appointment time if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. We reserve the right to charge a physical examination fee if 3 or more appointments are missed without adequate notice in a 365-day window. This fee will be reapplied for every subsequent missed appointment.

Payment Policy
We ask that payment is made in full at the time service is rendered. If for some reason you are unable to pay your bill, please inform the doctor before services are provided so that payment arrangements may be considered. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover and Care Credit.
We treat each patient as family.
